For the love of adventure. The planet. The future. Our health.
I started Anu to reimagine outdoor gear, beginning with neck warmers made from reclaimed cashmere. Anu is rooted in nature, our health, and how the supply chain impacts both.
As an avid outdoors athlete, I know the industry’s obsession with synthetic gear runs deep. But I believe we don’t need more plastic to go outside and we definitely don’t need to keep making new stuff. I want to offer an alternative to the overproduced, petroleum-based products that dominate the outdoor industry.
Both of my parents died of cancer before they hit retirement age. Watching that happen up close changes the way you think about a lot of things. What you put in your body. And what you put on your body. And how you spend your time on this planet. I’m not a scientist and I’m not going to cure cancer. But I do want to do something with my time here on Earth that felt like it could contribute to the conversation. We live in a world that has quietly normalized an enormous amount of toxic exposure. And on top of that, a tremendous amount of consumerist waste.
Anu is my project to do something about that. To show that we can live in abundance without creating more new stuff. To show that we can recreate outdoors without entirely wrapping ourselves in plastic and PFAS. To show my kids that we can build the future we want to see.
Thanks for being here on this journey with me. I hope we cross paths on the skin track or get to spin a lap together.
